Wonderland’s Vision for Cross-chain Interoperability

Wonderland is extremely excited to announce the cross-chain launch on Harmony and SNOW & ICE blockchains.

ICON Foundation has always been fully dedicated to becoming the network to build cross-chain dApps through the most decentralized and trustless BTP technology. Wonderland will be using the BTP technology to connect to multiple chains and utilize the power of a true cross-chain dApp and fully decentralized interoperability. Wonderland will be initially released on Harmony blockchain and soon followed by SNOW & ICE blockchains right after.

Why Harmony?

Harmony is one of the growing numbers of ICON’s future connected partners that has integrated BTP smart contracts. Harmony is an interoperability first, fast, secured and low transaction fee blockchain. The full BTP connection between Harmony and ICON will happen in the very near future!

This will be the first step for Wonderland to be a true cross-chain dApp from day one. Also, it will allow Wonderland Game to be released much faster! Last but not least, Harmony has one of the best GameFi ecosystems that has been growing exponentially with Defi Kingdom and others dApps in the last few months. Bringing $SHROOM to Harmony will help further boost the gaming ecosystem in Harmony.

Harmony will be interested to grow with the ICON community as we have support from their existing ecosystem to build a strong community together. We are super excited for Wonderland will be the first DeFi game to be a bridge to connect ICON and Harmony communities in a fun way through BTP.

ICE and Snow

ICE is a big project and there is still sometime for ICE to be fully ready for Wonderland with infrastructures like DEX. Wonderland is built for any EVM-compatible blockchains and we will be moving closely with the ICE team on the development process to deploy on the ICE blockchain right when it’s ready.

Since SNOW — The ICE Canary Network will first launch on Kusama before the ICE launch on Polkadot, Wonderland will follow the same process and do the first launch on SNOW. We will be on the cutting edge of ICON’s BTP development.

Last Note, Whitelist and Website

Wonderland is a cross-chain adventure where our members will connect with diverse communities from different blockchains and be part of the interoperability journey.

We will be rewarding members who have Icon wallets and are not yet whitelisted when we release the second phase whitelist on our website. Stay tuned for the dates and info.
